Yoga is connection - to yourself and everyone around you
There are many types of yoga and so many teachers, where do you start?
I teach Hatha yoga which is a posture based practice (Asana) but I also bring in elements of breath control (Pranayama) and Meditation into my sessions. The postural based practice enables me to give you variations to suit your body on that day. In classes I work through a range of postures with different options for different bodies and abilities. I am passionate about yoga and how good it makes you feel, Yoga is a practice, not striving for perfection. I try to make my classes fun and lighthearted, a lot of my students have been with me since the beginning of my teaching journey four years ago and I teach smaller classes to ensure everyone feels they get my attention.
My aim is that every time you step on the mat you will discover something new about yourself or the practice.
I currently teach two community classes a week, details below:
Dunston Activity Centre
Thursday - 6.30pm
Bensham Grove Community Centre
Friday - 9.30am
Both classes are 60mins and cost £6.
If you enjoy the classes I do offer a block booking of £30 for 6 sessions to be paid up front.
